Some extremely disrespectful comments i think on the bcfc forum...totally out of order i would say...they seem to have forgotten what that guy's done for them...

I've put this thread as "sticky" now which means it will remain at the top of the Football League section.
This has major implications for Yeovil;
Will Gavin Williams be returning to BCFC for the new gaffer to have a look before his contract runs out?
Who will get the job? Is Skivo a target for Lansdown?
Who will GJ go and manage next (and more importantly do they have a decent reserve side who we can borrow from)
What next for Lee Johnson, as we know "you only play for your Daddy"?
Discuss.....

From the LMA "Gary Johnson says: "I'd like to thank the chairman for his continual support throughout the last four-and-a-half years and congratulate him on taking the club to the level it currently enjoys. "I thank the majority of the club's fans for their tremendous support during my time with the club. "I thank the players and staff for their continued efforts in getting this club from what was a position at the bottom of League One when I joined, to promotion to the Championship, to the play-off final for a place in the Premier League and then to compete in the Championship thereafter. "I leave Bristol City FC with fond memories but feel the time is right to move on to a new challenge." Johnson has been involved in 5 promotions during his coaching career and has also managed at national team level. After managing Yeovil Town, Johnson became manager of Bristol City in September 2005. would love to see him back here in a director of football role. maybe with starnes leaving in the summer there's some room in the budget??
wouldnt think skivo would leave for city, they're a big club and he hasnt got enough experience yet. would expect someone like steve coppell or maybe phil brown.
either way, good luck to GJ. hes a terrific manager and im sure if wants to get back into football he wont have to wait too long
